REMOTO WEEKLY — KARDO Is Underway and Asunción Enters the Countdown

September 18, 2026 · Update since the September 14 edition

What's up, crew. This edition comes just four days after the last Weekly, so we won't repeat stories to fill space. This week's news is that KARDO 9 is underway in Vladivostok, while the Asunción World Championship enters its final preparations.

KARDO 9: THE ACTION HAS STARTED

The KARDO 9 Grand Final began this week on Russky Island in Vladivostok. The organizer reports participants from 69 countries across 13 urban culture and sports disciplines, including kickscootering.

Today, September 18, the program includes open qualifying: a final chance for riders who arrived independently to reach the finals. Competitions continue over the weekend, with awards scheduled for September 20.

Kickscootering has PRO and Amateur categories and a minimum age of 14. At publication, there is no official scooter podium we can confirm. Once KARDO publishes complete results, names should come with sources, rather than rumors or isolated stories.

ASUNCIÓN: SCOOTERING COMPETES OCTOBER 5–17

The useful detail for following the championship is more than that the Games happen in October. The official scootering bulletin sets the competition window at October 5–17, with Park and Street in Men's, Women's and Junior categories.

Both courses are at the Parque Olímpico Paraguayo in Luque. Unofficial practice is scheduled September 25–October 1 for Park and September 25–October 2 for Street, only for athletes whose Infinity registration is complete.

The general registration deadline closed September 10. We'll now wait for official lists and accreditation. We won't name Mexican riders as confirmed without a federation or World Skate source.

MEXICO: NO REPEAT OF THE TIJUANA STORY

The Tijuana Street Jam video premiere was covered in the September 14 edition. Since then, we haven't found a new national result or another sufficiently confirmed Mexican video release to make news this week.

We prefer a clear, short edition over recycling the same story. If you missed the Tijuana video, it's still in the previous Weekly: Read the edition and watch the video.

WHAT TO FOLLOW THIS WEEKEND

Attention is on KARDO: kickscootering qualifying, finals and results. The next Weekly can separate confirmed winners from clips that simply go viral.
