REMOTO WEEKLY — Asunción, Paraguay and Shanghai, China: two fronts for scootering

October 18, 2026 · Week of October 12–18

What’s up, everyone. This week, scootering had two focal points: the Park World Championship in Asunción, Paraguay and FISE Shanghai in China. There was also Latin American participation in Junior Park. Here is what has been confirmed, with links to follow each event.

ASU26: Park takes its turn

After Street, the World Championship action shifted to Park. World Skate’s official listing on Liveheats records 35 men, nine women and 31 Junior riders: three categories to follow separately and compare how riders are approaching the park.

World Skate TV announced Scootering Park coverage for the weekend of October 17 and 18. To watch the competition, open the Asunción, Paraguay section and select Scootering Park. Brackets, rounds and rankings are available on Liveheats.

FISE Shanghai, China: scootering shares the stage at West Bund

From October 15–18, FISE Shanghai and the West Bund Urban Sports Carnival took over the Xuhui waterfront in Shanghai, China. The announced program features 18 competitions across five disciplines: BMX, skateboarding, roller, scooter and street dance. Organizers reported more than 500 athletes registered across all disciplines.

Admission was announced as free, with no reservation required. For our sport, this format opens another door: people attending for one discipline can discover scootering along the way. Sharing that space also helps more people see what we do.

FISE has a press page with photos, video and a results link. It is a starting point for exploring material from this edition.

Argentina: Benjamín Camino completed his Junior Park appearance

Río Grande, Argentina rider Benjamín Camino finished 28th in the Junior Park semifinal with 17.17 points, according to the report published on October 15 by Argentina Amateur Deporte. He did not advance to the final.

At 16, he arrived in Asunción, Paraguay after winning Junior Park at the national championship in Avellaneda, Argentina. His participation adds a Latin American story to the World Championship: a rider who went from training in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina to competing in a category with 31 participants.
